Dear Friends,
We would like to inform you that after three years, the Think German campaign has, as originally planned, come to an end. This website will therefore no longer be updated. However, our efforts to promote the German language will very much continue.
On this website you will find all relevant links, contact details and FAQs leading you to further resources. Some of the website's previous content, such as the event calendar and the newsletter, is no longer available. You will find all relevant information on the websites and social media of the main campaign partners: the German Embassy in London, Goethe-Institut London, UK-German Connection and the DAAD.
We experienced three exciting and extremely satisfying years with Think German from its launch in 2010, and are pleased and proud that we could make a small contribution to promoting German in primary and secondary schools as well as universities. We also successfully promoted German at the political level and with media and business representatives. In our endeavours we were always encouraged by your strong support for our cause and your valuable input: thank you very much!
Out of the Think German campaign a new initiative developed: Think German locally! The Oxford-German Network is a splendid example of how German can take off at the local level. We hope to see more of these excellent local initiatives, which help to engage with German and bring likeminded people together. And that is not only on a virtual level but in real life as well, which is the advantage of its local character. If you are interested in setting up your local German hub, please do not hesitate to contact the Oxford-German Network for further advice.
All of us remain strongly committed to promoting German and are keen to give you all the support we can. We wish you great success and lots of fun in exploring the whole potential of the German language!
Your Think German team
